1) Do I have a case?
You do have a good case if someone else made a mistake, was negligent, and you were injured by his or her error. If your injuries required medical care, you should call us now. We will give you a free case evaluation over the phone.
2) How much is my case worth?
The value of your case is determined by how much medical care you need, how long your medical care takes and how your injuries affect your personal life and your ability to work. Every case is different. If you call us now we will give you a free case evaluation over the phone.
3) How long will my case take?
On average, a personal injury case takes about a year to a year and a half. Sometimes cases are settled much quicker and occasionally, if a case has to go all the way through the court system, it might take up to three years. We will push your case to get you a settlement or award as fast as possible. If you call us now we can give you a better estimate of how long your case will take.
4) What percentage is your fee?
There is never a charge to call us and discuss a potential case. We will give you a free consultation over the phone or in our office. You never pay us anything unless and until we win your case. When we win your case our fee is a percentage of what we recover for you. Our customary fee is one-third or forty percent, depending upon the type of case. If you call us now for a free consultation we will discuss our fees with you.
5) Do I have to pay you anything now?
No. You do not pay us anything unless and until we win your case. If you call us now we will give you a free evaluation of your case.
6) Who pays my medical bills?
Medical bills for injury victims are submitted to and paid for by different insurance companies based on where and how the accident happened. We will make sure they go to the correct company. We will also work out any insurance-pay problems that might arise. If you call us now we will explain exactly who will pay your medical bills.
7) Who pays my bills at home if I cannot work?
If you are unable to work because of your injuries, we will get you any and all disability benefits available from car insurance companies, worker's compensation insurance companies, private disability policies and government disability programs. We will make sure each of these sources pays you what they owe. If you call us now we will explain what is possible and how this works.
8) Will I have to testify in court?
Most personal injury cases, if handled aggressively and professionally, are settled out of court. You will probably never have to testify in court and in the rare case that it is necessary, we will prepare you well and do everything to make you comfortable. If you call us now we will explain how and why we will protect you from having to testify in court.
9) Can I get a loan against my case now?
There are many finance companies that will advance you money while your case proceeds. If you really need the money while we are working on your case, we will explain how these "loans" work and put you in touch with a good company. We generally do not recommend these loans to our clients, but when they are necessary, we help you with them. If you call us now we will explain how these loans are made and where you can get them.
10) Which doctor should I go to?
You should go to your own regular trusted doctor or to a specialist recommended by your family doctor. If you switch doctors to "the one my lawyer sent me to," your case will be less credible. If you call us now we will explain how and where you can get the best care possible.
11) What should I do now?
If you have been in an accident that is somebody else's fault and you were injured, you should call an experienced successful personal injury lawyer now. If you call us now we will give you a free consultation over the phone or in our office.
12) How do I decide which lawyer to hire?
You should hire a personal injury lawyer who is experienced and successful. You should speak to the lawyer about your case and his credentials. If you call us now we would be happy to answer all of your questions.
