Distracted Driving

Please don't text and drive.  I don't need the business. Unfortunately, I've been getting more and more cases lately from people who have been severely injured because of motorists who are texting or using their mobile device while driving.  Statistics have been coming out lately proving something I've been seeing for a while now.  According to the Federal government:
  • As of 2010 (three years ago!) one in 5 car crashes were caused by distracted driving
  • As of 2011, 3331 people were killed due to distracted driving
  • Billions of text messages are sent every day
Who's doing it?  Everybody!  Almost 70% or drivers report that they had talked on their cell phones while driving some time during the past 30 days.  31% of drivers said they had texted while driving (drivers under the age of 20 have the highest rates of distracted driving accidents). Please don't use your mobile device while driving.  If you or a loved one has been seriously injured, call me.
